TALES FROM A TINY TOUR

We had other plans when we first decided it was time to road test the brand new band. Perhaps we were a trifle ambitious, overconfident or maybe it was just that we were so excited about the whole thing. Anyway, we hadn't planned on the inaugural outing of the brand new Ultimate Eagles tribute to be only two shows long, but logistics and circumstances won out and two shows it was. In the end it made no difference because what really mattered was to get the band playing in front of an audience to see if they got as excited about the band as us. If the conversation I have had with friends and fans after both shows are anything to go by (and of course, they are everything to go by), then it's safe to say that we have a resounding success on our hands.

It's important to us to thanks all the good people who made it to The Brook in Southampton and The Globe in Cardiff and for extending such a huge and warm welcome that lasted for our entire set. We were happily amazed and all smiles for the entire night. Thanks also to our terrific crew of guys; Ben and Duncan for making it all look and sound so smooth, and Mark for making it all happen. Thanks also to Aunty Babs in Southampton for feeding us and showing such hospitality.

You can count on one thing - this is just the beginning! Now that we have achieved this milestone, Ultimate Eagles has been born...

We will be announcing some shows around October/November time this year. There aren't any definite dates as yet but please keep checking www.ultimateeagles.com for gigs up and down the country. Join in with the discussions on the forum or visit us on Facebook, Myspace and Twitter and let us know where you'd like us to play. You never know, we might just make it there!
