DANNY VAUGHN
 |
Although hailing from the States, Danny
Vaughn got his first big break in the
English rock band “Waysted” in 1985,
featuring ex-UFO members Pete Way and Paul
Chapman.
His audition for the band was to fly with
them after 3 days rehearsal to play in front
of 15,000 people in Ramat Gan Stadium, Tel
Aviv, Israel. He passed the trial by fire
and has been global ever since.
The following year Waysted released the
highly acclaimed “Save Your Prayers” album,
which included the MTV hit single “Heaven
Tonight”, and toured the world as an opening
act for Status Quo and the mighty Iron
Maiden.
In 1989, having left Waysted, Danny formed
the band “Tyketto” in the New York/ New
Jersey area. The band quickly established a
huge local following and were signed to
Geffen Records by John Kalodner in 1990.
Tyketto’s first album, “Don’t Come Easy”,
released in 1991 has long been thought of as
a classic in the melodic rock genre and
established Danny and co as a favorite live
act in the UK and Europe. They toured the
world on their own as well as opening up for
White Lion, Yngwie Malmsteen, Nelson, and
Blue Oyster Cult and others.

Their first single, “Forever Young” is still
being played in rock clubs all over the
world today. For the next two years Tyketto
toured non stop, released two MTV videos and
three singles before going back into the
studio to record their second album
“Strength In Numbers”. Danny left the band
in 1996 and retired from touring for a time.
In 2001 Danny got back into the game as a
solo artist under the band name “Vaughn”. He
released “Soldiers And Sailors On Riverside”
and then “Fearless” on the fledgling Z
Records label and got back to what he loves
most; writing, recording, and touring.
In the last several years he has been very
busy both as a session vocalist (recording
tracks with Yes, Riot, Hot Action Cop, Ten’s
Gary Hughes, Richie Zito, The Northern
Lights Orchestra and Jorge Salan, to name a
but a few) and continuing to release his own
albums.
Danny joined the Illegal Eagles at the end
of 2007 and was part of their 2008 and 2009
tours, which introduced him to a whole new
group of friends and fans. Reproducing the
great music of the Eagles both accurately
and with reverence and fun has become
something of an obsession for him, and with
a number of his esteemed Illegal Eagle
partners he has formed a brand new band;
“The Ultimate Eagles”.
Speaking with over 20 years of performing
experience around the world Danny says,
“When it comes to putting on a great live
show, these guys know how to do it. We have
the best vocals, musicians and production
available and the show will leave you
singing all the way home. The Ultimate
Eagles is the band to see”.
He ought to know!
